PEKAT VISION requires an NVIDIA GPU or an ARM-based device such as NVIDIA Jetson. Supported GPUs include those with Compute Capabilities 7.5, 8.6, and 8.9, as well as Jetson devices with 7.2 and 8.7. You can verify your GPU’s Compute Capability on NVIDIA’s website.

When selecting a GPU for your application:

• VRAM (GPU memory) determines the number of projects/models you can run simultaneously and the inspection resolution.
• CUDA core count and frequency influence inspection and training speed.

PEKAT VISION is compatible with Windows 10, Windows 11, and embedded systems.

PEKAT VISION natively supports cameras from Datalogic, Basler, and Toshiba. It also includes a universal driver for cameras using the GenICam interface. Other manufacturers can be supported on a case-by-case basis.

Yes, PEKAT VISION supports output to Siemens S7 PLCs natively.

Yes, integration with non-Siemens PLCs is possible, but it requires additional coding.

You can integrate PEKAT VISION using Python, C#, or C++.

The current version does not include a dedicated Profinet communication function. However, you can use the PEKAT + IMPACT mode on the MX-G2000 Vision Processor to access IMPACT’s communication options.

The average transfer time is 10-50 milliseconds.

• Minimum feature size (all modules): 8×8 pixels.
• Detector module: Minimum rectangle size is 32×32 pixels.
• OCR module: Minimum detectable width is 25 pixels.

• Parallel processing is possible if you run multiple projects simultaneously and your hardware has sufficient resources.
• Within a single project, images are processed sequentially.

PEKAT VISION offers two license types:

• Runtime License: A one-time purchase with no expiration. This license allows you to run PEKAT VISION for inspections but does not support training new models.
• Development License: Typically billed annually. This license allows you to both train new models and run them for inspections.

There are no software-imposed restrictions. The only limitation is the available storage space on your system.

Each PEKAT VISION license supports up to nine simultaneous inspections. Keep in mind that each project requires at least 5-6 GB of VRAM. To run multiple inspections concurrently, you’ll need a GPU with sufficient memory capacity.

Yes, if you have a hardware dongle, you can plug it into another computer with PEKAT VISION installed and use the software there. However, a software license is tied to a specific computer and cannot be transferred.
